In appreciation of our volunteer’s and employee’s dedication to serving the community, the Mill Creek Fire Company held its annual "Appreciation Picnic" at the Fire Station in Pike Creek Valley.  Charged with manning two fire stations around the clock; it was time for a break as our volunteer members, employees and their families enjoyed a beautiful Saturday afternoon on August 18, 2012.  

The Picnic Committee had again outperformed themselves with delicious refreshments including BBQ chicken, beef and pork, hot dogs, salads, and crabs.   To add to the occasion an inflatable "wrecking ball" was delivered to bring some extra entertainment for those that dare to make the climb. 

A special thanks to our fellow firefighters from Indian River Fire Company (DE) and Brandywine Hundred Fire Company (DE).  They provided extra protection across our fire district as we enjoyed this well desired event.
